Henry Lodge #57 A.F. & A.M.
eTrestleboard and Calendar
August, 2003

Brethren,
Another great month is now behind us! We began July at the Fairfax City 4th of July Parade with one of our most successful Child ID Programs ever — over 140 children passed through our booth at the fire station — thanks to all who assisted and especially Bro. Arleigh Rice, the program chair. The very next day and thanks to the efforts of Bro. Jeffrey Copeland, 23 members of the Henry Lodge Masonic family attended a Potomac Cannons baseball game where we watched as our lodge name flashed on the billboard, provided the between inning entertainment as we sang Take Me Out To The Ball Game over the public address system and enjoyed a wonderful fireworks display after the game. Following a Happy Birthday USA Dinner and in celebration of the 227th anniversary of our nations independence, over 50 members of our Masonic Family enjoyed a Building the Flag Ceremony presented by the National Sojourners and received flags and copies of Our Freedoms Documents after calling off to refreshment during our July Stated. I was also honored to attend the Fairfax Assembly No. 3 Rainbow Installation where Gina Costanzo was installed as the new Worthy Advisor. Congratulations to Wor. Russ Williams, our SW, who was honored as Rainbow Dad .
Take note of our August calendar and plan to support your lodge — highlights include an official visit by our DEO, Wor. Roger Firestone, as part of our Wardens Night Program, another Lite Nite, a Summer Picnic, and Peach Night. Also, mark your calendars for the Special Lodge Event in September (see below).
See you in lodge!

„Peach
Night /Canaday Scholarship Presentation The PEACH, a symbol of longevity and immortality, will be the focus of an evening of fellowship at Henry Lodge as we hold our traditional Peach Night social at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, August 26th. Bring your Lady, peach dessert to share (fresh, pie, cake, cobbler, custard, ice cream, etc), and join us for a wonderful evening in the Henry Lodge Social Hall. In addition to the presentation of the 2003 Canaday Scholarship there will also be some surprises for those who attend. „Grounds

SPECIAL LODGE EVENT
|
My
Dear Brothers: You have an exciting opportunity for a reunion with history! Our September 9, 2003 Stated Meeting will be held in the City of Fairfax Old Town Hall which served as our Temple from the 1900’s through June of 1971.
I call on all Master Masons of Henry Lodge to make their best effort to attend this historic meeting and homecoming program. Also, this will be our Bring-A-Mason Night —– so invite a Brother to attend from another lodge!
The program will include: (1) a dinner —– tickets go on sale August 12th; (2) reading of the minutes of the last Stated held at the Old Fairfax City Hall Temple during May of 1971 and introduction of Wor. Kenneth Haines, PM, who presided at that meeting; (3) a short program on the history of Henry Lodge; and (4) a professional group photograph.
Mark your calendar now and plan on joining me as we celebrate the great heritage of Henry Lodge No. 57! Don’t miss this opportunity to share in a great evening of fraternal fellowship. Harry Sanders Worshipful Master
